Overcoming Challenges

As I work towards finding the life I want and think I deserve, there are a few challenges that I struggle with on a daily basis. As part of Natalie Sisson's 10 day blog challenges, I am going to pinpoint them for you in this post.

Procrastination

I have always been one of those people who puts things off! Though I was always a good student, I didn't complete projects or assignments until the list minute. Now that I recognize it as an issue, I am better at it but it is definitely a struggle for me every day. One of the ways I am trying to stay motivated and avoid procrastination is to remember why I work in my day job (to provide for my family) and why I am working on my own business ( to help people and to have more freedom). Another thing that has helped me is to listen to podcasts in the morning of successful entrepreneur's. This helps me connected with people who are thinking in the way that I want to be.

Focus

I know I want to have more freedom in my life and I want to help people, but I suffer from a case of shiny syndrome. I love learning new things and sometimes I get distracted by lots of ideas to start new things and don't finish projects that were already in motion. There are so many cool ideas and tools out there to help your business that it gets hard to not want to buy them all. To stay focused currently, I have been reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and have written down my chief desire and do daily exercises to stay focused on attaining that goal.
